Lord, please bless and protect Sarah Palin and her family. Please keep Governor Palin strong in You and sustain her through the rigors of campaigning. Continue to bless her with poise, grace, a strong moral sense, and a clear, sharp mind as she seeks to serve You, her family, and her country. May her graciousness be perceived even by those who don’t share her point-of-view. May her family remain intact and be strengthened through this whole experience. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Amen!!! We are all very excited down here about Palin. Catholic voters everywhere are feeling like we finally have a ticket we can vote for with a clear conscience. Many of us didn't care all that much about McCain, but his surprising choice of VP has cast him in a new and more appealing light. I think that even some people who were going to vote for Obama might be changing their minds, too! I hope so! Thanks for the prayer!
Leave it to the blind to see what they Feel, not the reality of the world. As a woman that has the education of a first class citizen, I mourn for the future women who will be harmed by her election. She is not for equal pay for equal work nor for life of the already born. She needs to be pro LIFE, not for War. She needs to be pro Family, not separating herself from her family at this critical time in her infant's bonding time.
I do not view this as classy. The fact that McCain's announcement came the morning after the DNC convention (population 84,000), appears to be a direct "dig" to focus off the national popularity of Obama's speech.
I think Sarah Palin is a great choice. She is not a stereotype, just as many women lead lives that do not fit comfotably into a mold established by either the right or the left. As a woman, I am looking forward to Ms. Palin's becoming the next Vice President, and then later President, of the USA.
