Rediscovering my creative side

On Friday, Mom & I went out and bought some watercolours, brushes, a palette, and paper. We've spent a good chunk of the weekend painting. A few weeks ago, when I went to visit my friend in Ottawa, she encouraged me to purchase a sketch pad and pencils, to get back into drawing too. I haven't been drawing and painting since high school, but I'm enjoying this very much.

At present, most of what I produce looks rather cartoonish - but I'm having fun! :)

Cute painting! Watercolour isn't easy, is it? I've done a bit this year, and mine always looks like my 4-year-old neice did it. However, yours looks pretty good! What is the subject?

Your painting is cute! What is the subject?

I have tried some watercolour painting in the past year, and it's hard! It always looks like my 4-year-old neice did. The colours bleed all over the place, etc. Need to learn the techniques.

Anyway, yours is cute. What did your mom paint?

LOL! Well, if you can't tell what the subject is, I don't know how "good" it is! :) It's a store front I created in my mind. If you click on the picture, it should show up large on your computer screen.

Mom painted some flowers and she also painted a bowl and saucer. They were pretty good, but she won't allow me to post her stuff on here....yet!
